Children can start at St Lawrence Pre-School subject to the availability of a place after they have reached 2 yrs old and can stay up to the term after they are 5.
We are able to admit 35 children per session. We open Monday to Friday during term time between 8.30am and 4pm. We offer the following sessions:
Morning sessions
8.30am – 12pm
8.30am – 1pm
9/9.15am – 12pm
9/9.15am – 1pm
Afternoon sessions
12pm – 4pm
1pm – 4pm
Full days
8.30am – 3pm
8.30am – 4pm
9/9.15am – 3pm
9/9.15am – 4pm
Fee’s are £5.00 per hour.
Nursery Education Grant Funding
St Lawrence Pre-School offers places for children for all the below funded hours. Please contact us if you would like more information.
3yr old funding
All children are entitled to 15 hours a week, in the term following their 3rd Birthday (see table below).

Some three year olds are eligible for an additional 15 hours funding (extended entitlement) dependent on family circumstances.
2yr old funding
Working parents with children aged two can get up to 15 hours of free childcare a week if their household income is less than £16,190 a year, and they are receiving Working Tax Credit.
Non-working families on certain benefits, including income support or job seekers allowance are also eligible.
Other families also qualify, including if their child:

- is adopted or fostered
- has a current statement of special educational needs or an education, health or care plan
- has left care through special guardianship or an adoption or residence order
- is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance
- is looked after by the county council.
